An entertainment television series on Telemundo. Sofia traveled the world with Fernando Fiore showing us beautiful cities. From exotic foods and historical cities and countries, to great beaches and nite life, this series was very similar to todays travel programs on The Travel Channel.

In this sitcom, the very-small-league amateur soccer team from the homonymous movie ("de serie" is Dutch for "The Series") which is so bad at the game even their emancipated girls have a hard time taking it seriously -causing increasing domestic tension- continue to enjoy the team camaraderie with a comical dose of macho rivalry. Driving force is Eric, a trendy yuppie lawyer who's captain, secretary etc. all in one despite having the busiest professional life, but hesitates to introduce his gay partner Geert to them - till the couple concocts the plan to make the former non-soccer-fan the team's trainer. His best friend, Stef, is a charmer but utterly unreliable. Equaly over-competitive is Franky, a drop-out without qualifications who never holds a job due to his brutish attitude but the soccer-passionate son of the boys original trainer. Vic is a philosophy graduate who resists pressure to follow in the footsteps of his father, a wealthy businessman.

A North Holland amateur soccer team (Swiftboys 8) consists of boys who since childhood enjoy the game itself -only gay captain Bram, a lawyer, takes the trouble to spend time on official club business- less then the camaraderie as none has the making of anything resembling a star player, to put it kindly, so they usually end their season by demotion. The point is having fun on the field, in the locker-room, in the canteen, and whenever something happens in one's life one or more of the others are likely to get involved, which also goes for some players' female partners, while male bonding seems only to stimulate their flirtatious lust. The chairman is a cigar-smoking fat rat, who intends to exploit the various teams using his infrastructure, and comes to employ as barmaid ex-con Nadja, a red-hair harpy nevertheless considered sexy by most straight boys.
